The Sow Lift prevents crushed pigs by elevating the sow while she is standing. A pedal-triggered air lift system raises the sow 10" (250mm) above the creep area when she stands up.
The crate is slowly lowered to creep level as as the sow lies down.
This process prevents pigs from getting underneath the sow while she is standing, and thus eliminates crushed and maimed pigs.
